I get a lot inspiration and ideas from the work of others. Building a layout is the combination of many skills and I admire anyone who can get a layout to a finished state.  Paul Scole's made a road trip to our area in June 2008 to photograph my friend Stan's Layout. Stan's Layout will be in the Jan/Feb Gazette. Stan's layout is stunning in both pictures and in person. Check out the Gazette for Paul's pics of Stan's  layout.      Not only is Paul a great photographer and layout builder but extemely down to earth friendly guy. Paul's videos on scenery and operation are excellent check them out on his website paulscoles.com. The top four pics are Paul's Scoles and the rest are somepics I took of Stan Oxendahl's amazing On3 Layout. The only reason I even know Stan's Layout exists is because of Jim Smith of Sunset Junction Trains in Spokane WA , Jim is an amazing On3 modeler in his own right and was instrumental in getting Paul Scole's out to photograph Stan's Layout. It is folks like Jim who truly keep our hobby moving, he has always given me free advice and gets all the crazy stuff anyone asks for, visit his shop if you are ever up our way.

    I think the overall pics will give anyone an appreciation for the amount of work Stan has put into this stunning layout, he continues to add detail to the layout and when I visit this layout I want to head home and get building on mine.
